====== Holography Specialist Istvan Sandor ======

{{ people:sandor.jpg?400|Istvan Sandor}} Istvan Sandor began his career working in recordkeeping and archiving. While serving aboard the USS //Yamato,// he began working on a recreational device he called a "holography room," where solid-holograms could be used to recreate a relaxing (or not) environment of a person's choice. His work was severely damaged when the //Yamato// took a hit from an enemy bomb that was disguised as a probe, and the //Yamato// was sent back to dock for extensive repairs. Sandor was also severely damaged, but recovered; although to this date he has not grown back his eyebrows or eyelashes, even though his arms and legs have been regrown.

While Sandor was in drydock, he met [[gus|Gussar "Gus" Maaha]], who had just been signed up to join the //Trouble's// crew. Intrigued by the Holography Room project, Gus convinced Sandor to apply for transfer to the Trouble.  Gus also told [[captain|Captain Shimbo]], who, hearing of the project, was eager for it to be tried out as a full-time project. Sandor signed on, and was given a room right next to the Captain's [[ship|ready room]] in which to build his project.  "Leakage" from this room into the Ready Room explains, to a large extent, why the Ready Room can be changed to numerous different configurations.

Sandor serves as a navigator when one is needed.  He is known for making the best grilled-cheese sandwiches in the Alpha Quadrant.
