The Crew
The Bridge Crew Quarters Engineering The Ready Room The Holography Room |
Crew quarters aboard the Trouble all follow a standard plan. Bounded on two sides by corridors, there is a relatively large living area, a smaller kitchen, an an even smalled bedroom/bathroom. Different rooms are separated by walls with pocket doors. Although the kitchens are pretty standard across the entire ship, the rest of the quarters can be decorated and/or outfitted in any way the crewmember fancies, so long as such outfitting does not pose a danger to the ship. Living rooms contain a large voice-controlled screen (for those who communicate by voice; other options are available) which can be used for work or for entertainment. Kitchen equipment consists of an oven, a small range, a refrigerator and a sink, all in a single unit. For those for whom this arrangement is insufficient, larger kitchens are available on various decks, but one must share whatever one cooks with whoever shows up. Each habitat has windows and a skylight, although none of them look directly outside the ship, due to constraints imposed by interstellar radiation shielding and the implementation of an experimental (and largely, at this point, buggy) cloaking system. Instead, the resident can order to be projected onto these whatever views they desire |
